About Us Searching for wedding venues is not an easy task. There are too many websites with too much information to sort through to get to the “good stuff”. Our database and knowledge stems from personal experience {as an engaged couple we spent months searching for a venue!}, professional knowledge and input from top event planning companies and industry professionals. Storied Locations is founded by Carrie and Eric Lane, owners of Storied Events {a premiere event company in Northern New England}. They have one goal – to make finding a GREAT wedding location easy. In a world that is so technologically driven, service is long forgotten. We know selecting a wedding venue is one of the most personal {and one of the biggest!} decisions a couple will make. To fill a niche, we decided to make it personal on our end by sharing our knowledge and created a comprehensive database of venues we feel, if we were to get married again – we might just do it there. And if you need a personal hand, let us know. We’d be glad to help or refer you to one of our planning partners to assist you along the way. Our database is driven by the needs and desires of the average to high end, luxury wedding couple. We are continually updating our information based on industry professional suggestions and great personal finds. We do offer investment packages to venues for greater exposure, though we do not allow venues to pay for editorial picks. We do not accept all venues – the venue must be *special* which is determined by many factors and is not determined by a set of specific standards. We decided not to add a “review” section since personal opinions of others are based on perspectives unique to the individual. The perfect location is in the eye of the beholder. Giving Back We are a United States based company and believe in being as green as possible, utilizing sustainable resources when possible, helping your neighbors, giving back and paying it forward.
