We have an ever growing database of private locations and have partnered with several planning firms and private rental agencies to bring you a wealth of homes, estates and select locations for wedding rentals.   Many of these homes are rented once, or at most a few times a year.

What is the cost of renting a private home for a wedding?

Many costs associated with private homes vary depending on location, guest count and rentals needed to ensure a successful event.

Home rental: (be sure to ask what this includes) $2500 to $25,000 for a weekend/week long rentals. If you are installing a tent for your ceremony or reception, be sure to ask if it is okay for the rental company to deliver rentals during the week prior to your wedding. 

Event rentals: Depending on the average wedding, you can anticipate spending between $30-$1,000+ per person. The cost will depend on the site, type of tent, tables, chairs, silverware, china and glassware selected. You also have options for linens and lighting. Remember you will also need to include a dance floor, stage or DJ table, power, water, and a catering tent with all the catering equipment needs. 

Bathrooms: You'll need to provide ample restroom services for your guests. Generally, you may select from single units, with running water to flush and wash hands, to luxury restroom trailers. Be sure to consult with a professional company or planner if you are unsure of your septic needs. 

Now that you've created the "event site" you'll need to factor in other costs associated with a wedding - catering, bar service, photographer, cake, flowers, gifts, invitations and other printed materials, etc. 

When entering an agreement with home owners, be sure to check on their rental conditions. It is very important everyone is on the same page regarding set up, clean up and garbage/recycles, etc. You do not want to be the one responsible holding the garbage bags the day after your event!
